DETAILING
Bring back the finish. Keep it there.
Thorough exterior and interior detailing that restores your boat's gelcoat, protects its surfaces, and holds up through whatever the Bay throws at it.
Why Custom Canvas Matters
This isn't a rinse-down. It's a proper detail.
A season on the Bay takes a toll, UV exposure dulls gelcoat, salt air works into seams, and grime builds up in places a standard wash doesn't reach. When a boat starts to look tired, it usually is tired. A detail done right doesn't just improve how a boat looks; it slows down the wear on every surface you're looking at.
At Upper Falls Boat Works, detailing is handled by the same people who know your boat's canvas, upholstery, and finishes. We don't cut corners on the process because we understand what's at stake, a finish that's properly protected is easier to maintain and worth more when it matters.
Straight forward from first look to final wipe-down.
How It Works
1. Assessment
We look at the boat's actual condition, hull oxidation, interior surfaces, brightwork, glass and tell you honestly what it needs and what it'll take.
2. Exterior Work
Hull washing, oxidation removal, multi-step gelcoat polishing, and waxing or sealant application. Brightwork and metal polishing where needed.
3. Interior Work
Full interior cleaning, vinyl and upholstery conditioning, glass and eisenglass polishing. The goal is a boat that looks and smells like it's been taken care of; because it has.

What Our Customers Say
Bill C.
"Brought in a boat that hadn't been properly detailed in years. Hull looked like chalk, stained vinyl, foggy eisenglass, they worked through all of it. The finish came back better than I expected."
They assessed our 23' Boston Whaler honestly, told us what could be restored and what it would take. No upselling, no surprises on the invoice. The gelcoat depth came back completely.
Interior feels completely different. They treated the vinyl, carpet and isinglass, and got into every corner. It's a different boat to spend time on.
